Brand strategy • Creative direction

Open Sky Wilderness Therapy rescues kids and young adults from challenging life situations, and brings them into the Colorado wilderness to learn new skills, appreciate a different perspective, and emerge from the program with a new sense of purpose.



Working together with the Open Sky communications director and the creative teams at Anthem Branding and Emerson Stone, I led a complete brand overhaul. Starting with a renewed strategic direction, we identified the brand's most unique qualities, then developed a powerful visual identity that authentically reflects Open Sky's ideals and resonates with their audience.



Gestural lines give life to custom lettering in the wordmark, and bring consistency to an icon system that defines the company's core values. A new responsive website focuses on visual storytelling, using an expressive new color palette alongside powerful photography to share a glimpse of the program's transformative experience.
